This tour will take you to see the imposing structure, carved entirely out of salt, where history, faith and engineering meet in a unique subway setting.The tour begins with a scenic drive from Bogota to the historic town of Zipaquira, known for its rich mining past and charming colonial architecture.
Upon arrival, we enter the majestic Salt Cathedral, a subway church that has been recognized as a jewel of Colombia's cultural heritage. Along the way, you will discover the 14 Stations of the Cross, each represented in imposing salt sculptures, as you advance to the Central Nave, where you will be amazed by a 16-meter illuminated cross and an altar carved in salt rock.
